In Which I Am Sore but Making Progress!

Fine, I'll admit it, the picture is a bit of an exaggeration. As much fun as it is to play at being dragged into this kicking out and dragging my nails across the asphalt, I find myself getting more and more into being active. I'm looking forward to being able to run again, to go play basketball again. Just getting outside my home again has made me feel better the last few days. But it's also made me sore, and I'm afraid that is just unforgivable!
I haven't seen Pete the snake since yesterday, I hope he's doing okay. hopefully him and the cat don't get into an altercation, I'd hate to see the cat hurt. She was not too happy with me for charging the batteries for the moped; they make a lot of noise. I swear she gave me a dirty look when she went out this afternoon. On the bright side, hopefully the batteries haven't gone bad and I can use the moped to make daily trips out to the state park nearby. As nice as it's been to get to know the neighborhood, it would be nice to explore more scenic and... nature-y, places.
I was able to do ten situps today during my stretching, and I was able to work more of my ab routine into my workout. Still underwhelming, but that's a 100% increase over yesterday, so I declare that a victory. A Pyrrhic victory, but a victory nonetheless. I've never heard my body make so many noises! I'm tempted to spray my joints with a good coating of WD-40. I like stretching days- I drift into this zone where I think about life or think about nothing or something in between those two things. I think I would like Yoga; perhaps I'll give it a try after I've lost the first twenty or so pounds.
Which reminds me! I haven't talked about my goals. Bottom line: I'm currently around 240-250 lbs, I would like to make it to 170-190 lbs. I was 165-170 at my healthiest, but that was weight lifting every day and doing several hours of biking, so I don't think I'll be making it back to that any time soon. Below 190 is very achievable. I'm working healthier food like whole grains and fresh fruit, vegetables, and meats into my diet, and reducing the amount of processed foods I eat. 190 is the goal, and we're making progress.

Jk. Keep up the good work! I need to start adding situps in too.
